Koforidua Man Mourns Wife, Two Daughters After Drowning

After his wife, Helena Yasan, and their two daughters sadly died, Emmanuel Yasan, a devastated husband and father, laid them to rest. When their car was washed into the Owabi River, the family sadly perished.

The community came together to grieve this significant loss at the memorial service today, November 17, 2024. In a moving moment, Emmanuel was surrounded by loving friends and family as he sobbed uncontrollably due to his overwhelming sadness.

There was a palpable sense of sorrow as the mourners tried to process the catastrophe. One of them broke down in tears, reflecting the anguish of everyone in attendance as they remembered Helena and her daughters.

“I called my wife, but she didn’t answer. I thought her phone had died because of the blackout the night before. When I went to the children’s school and didn’t find them there, I returned to the river where the car had gone off. That’s when I realised it was her car,” he recalled, his voice filled with emotion.
