With the departure of Sporting Director Txiki Begiristain and the entrance of Hugo Viana, Manchester City will undergo a time of transition next summer.
With Pep Guardiola's departure still a possibility, the key question is whether this will be a seismic change.
Guardiola is already in his ninth season as manager of the Etihad, and although he won everything with City, it is still unclear what he will do when his contract expires next summer.
Relevo asserts, however, that City anticipates knowing his choice by Boxing Day, December 26. With Ilkay Gundogan out of contract and big deals like those involving Bernardo Silva, John Stones, Ederson, or Kyle Walker to be negotiated, they and Viana are hoping to have some clarity so they can plan for the upcoming season.
Over the past ten years, City has adjusted the team to suit Guardiola's requirements and preferences, and he has stayed there longer than anyone could have predicted.
Although he has nothing more to accomplish with City, he is unlikely to find a better environment in which to carry out his duties.
Although Thomas Tuchel has since taken over as England's manager, it has been proposed that he may take over a national team.
