Knoxville SC earned a 1-1 draw at CHI Memorial Stadium in stoppage time thanks to a goal from Dani Fernandez, depriving Chattanooga Red Wolves SC of their first-ever USL League One victory.

Just before halftime, Ropapa Mensah gave the Red Wolves the lead with a well-placed goal into the lower left corner. In the 45th minute, the Ghanaian forward converted from close range after latching onto a Pedro Hernandez pass after a set-piece. Mensah's goal put Chattanooga ahead 1-0 at halftime.

The Red Wolves were ready to win even though they only had 32% of the ball, with Mensah playing an important part the entire time. But in the second half, Knoxville put a lot of pressure on the ball, controlling possession and attempting to equalise.

In the ninetieth minute, their perseverance paid off as Dani Fernandez's cross from DJ Benton reached him, and he shot past the custodian from six yards out to tie the score. In their upcoming game on October 12th against Forward Madison FC, Chattanooga will try to bounce back.
